Google is Shutting Down Google Drive for PC and Mac on March 12, 2018
Now Google has officially confirmed that they are going to shutting down Google drive for PC and Mac on March 12 next year. They are going to stop the support on 1st December 2017 after that the service will be run till March 2017 without the support and after that shut down permanently.
Google wrote that users who are still using the app will be notified as “going away” from October, giving users plenty of time to go for a different service instead. Google will be marketing its own alternative, “Backup and Sync,” and users can easily shift into it.
“With this launch, Google Drive for Mac/PC is officially deprecated. It will no longer be supported starting on December 11th, 2017, and it will shut down completely on March 12th, 2018. We encourage you to use Drive File Stream. As an alternative to or in addition to installing Drive File Stream, you can upgrade to the new version of Drive for Mac/PC, called Backup and Sync.” said Google in their blog post.
There are millions of people around the world get benefited from it.Actually, Google is not putting an end to the google drive facility instead they are promoting their new facility Backup and Sync which is launched for Mac and PCs earlier this year.
